Satisfying its viewers’ increasing demand for multi-platform news coverage, CTV Toronto today announced it will produce and deliver a comprehensive and complete two-hour civic election program exclusively for the CTV Broadband Network’s “News” channel. Targeting next Monday’s GTA civic election, Civic Vote 2006, is a commercial free program utilizing the full resources of the region’s leading news team to cover all angles of the night. Viewers can access LIVE coverage at toronto.ctv.ca, Monday, November 13 from 8-10 p.m. ET. It’s the first time CTV, or any Canadian broadcaster, has produced a full election program exclusively for an online audience. Complementing the Broadband coverage, CTV confirmed that for its television viewers in Toronto, CTV Toronto will join in progress between 8:30 and 9 p.m. ET. Coverage also features live reports from the mayoral races in Vaughan, Burlington, Mississauga, Whitby and Clarington.
