The Calgary International Film Festival presented by American Express has spaces left for volunteers in all areas for the 8th Annual edition of the Festival taking place September 21-30, 2007.

The Calgary International Film Festival (CIFF) takes pride in its dedicated, engaged and personable volunteers. With the help of over 350 film-lovers, CIFF is able to provide an annual world-class cinema event for Calgarians. This is the eighth year CIFF will be showcasing not only the best of national and international film, but the very best volunteers that Calgary has to offer.

With over 1000 shifts to cover, CIFF currently has openings for Theatre Attendants, Artist Liaisons, Box Office Assistants, Special Event Servers, Administration Assistants, Marketing Squad members, Survey Team Members, and Team Leaders.

Candidates are required to commit to a minimum of 15 hours during the Festival, and attend the training session specific to their position. Team Leaders must commit to 4 shifts, which are usually 5-6 hours in length. Orientation and training sessions will be held in August and September.
The deadline for volunteer applications is August 24, 2007. Applications are available online at www.calgaryfilm.com.
