For the 16th consecutive year, the Toronto International Film Festival welcomed the FIPRESCI jury. FIPRESCI is the Fйdйration Internationale de la Presse Cinйmatographique (International Federation of Film Critics).

The International Critics' Prize (FIPRESCI Prize) goes to LA ZONA (Spain /Mexico, 2007) directed by Rodrigo Plб.

LA ZONA makes a subtle use of cinematographic codes (thriller, anticipation) bringing to light a sadly realistic dichotomy: the gap in Mexican society and the frailty of human convictions.

The FIPRESCI Jury at the 32nd Toronto International Film Festival:

Grйgory Valens, Positif - France - Jury President
Pamela Biйnzobas, La Tercera - Chile
Scott Foundas, L.A. Weekly - USA
Katherine Monk, CanWest News Services - Canada
