The CFTPA has announced the results of the 2007-2009 CFTPA Board elections. As the new 2007-2009 Board of Directors have been duly elected, the CFTPA would like to extend congratulations to the new Board of Directors.

“On behalf of the Association I would like to take this opportunity to thank the new Board of Directors for committing their time and effort in serving the CFTPA for the next two years.” said Julia Keatley, Chair, CFTPA Nominations Committee. “The level of dedication and professionalism represented on our board serves not only the best interest of producers in Canada, but also the entire Industry. I would also like to personally that the outgoing Board of Directors for all their hard work as well. It has been a pleasure.”

Members should note that due to a tie vote in Alberta, it has been agreed Josh Miller will serve the 2007-2008 term and Tom Cox will serve the 2008-2009 term.

The new Board of Directors will serve a two year term commencing with the incoming Board meeting in Banff on Sunday, June 10, 2007. The 2007-2009 Board of Directors is duly elected by its members pending formal approval by the CFTPA members at the 2007 AGM in Banff.

The CFTPA wishes to extend sincere thanks to all of the nominees for their participation in the elections and their continued support of the CFTPA. Their commitment to serving the Association is greatly appreciated by its members.

A call for Nominations for Chair was distributed on May 14, 2007 to the CFTPA Directors of the 2007-2009 Board. Sandra Cunningham was elected as chair of the Board and will chair the June 10 board meeting in Banff.
