The Canadian Film and Television Production Association (CFTPA) is pleased to announce the successful applicants to its newly-launched Atlantic Mentorship Program. Funded by Telefilm Canada, New Brunswick Film, The Newfoundland and Labrador Film Development Corporation and the Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation, the Program provides internships for emerging and mid-level producers in the Atlantic provinces. On-the-job training is provided by CFTPA-member production companies based in Atlantic Canada.
“The CFTPA congratulates the selected participants and wishes them a great mentorship,” said Guy Mayson, CFTPA President and CEO. “We are delighted to be able to work with the Atlantic Canada Film Partners on this exciting new training initiative. It is a privilege to help launch the next generation of Atlantic producers and to foster the growth of the region’s screen-based entertainment industry.’’ The 26-week placements are administered by the CFTPA National Mentorship Program (NMP) and were awarded by a selection panel comprising representatives of the Atlantic Canada Film Partners, producer members of the CFTPA, and supervised by CFTPA-NMP staff.
