Monday, 10 September 2007
Each year, the Directors Guild of Canada honours an impressive list of Canadian film and television directors at its annual DGC Awards.

To celebrate, the DGC brings to you an evening of discussion on the art and craft of filmmaking with several of these nominated directors. This is a unique opportunity to catch a rare, inside glimpse into the filmmaking process and hear some of Canada's best directors.

The panel will be moderated by director Michael Kennedy and includes:

Erik Canuel, Bon Cop Bad Cop
Clement Virgo, Poor Boys Game
Jerry Ciccoritti, The Victor Davis Story
John L'Ecuyer, In God's Country
Don McBrearty, October 1970
Sturla Gunnarsson, Above and Beyond

A clip from each director's nominated film will be shown, then Michael Kennedy will guide a discussion with each director to illuminate the challenge in directing the scene, its importance to the film and their directing philosophy.

Where:
Eaton Lecture Theatre, Rogers Communications Centre, Gould and Church, Ryerson University
When: 7:00 p.m., Friday, September 28, 2007

This a FREE session brought to you by the Directors Guild of Canada and the DGC Awards.
