Each year, the Directors Guild of Canada honours an impressive list of Canadian film and television directors at its annual DGC Awards. To celebrate, the DGC brings to you an evening of discussion on the art and craft of filmmaking with several of these nominated directors. This is a unique opportunity to catch a rare, inside glimpse into the filmmaking process and hear some of Canada's best directors. The panel will be moderated by director Michael Kennedy and includes: Erik Canuel, Bon Cop Bad Cop Clement Virgo, Poor Boys Game Jerry Ciccoritti, The Victor Davis Story John L'Ecuyer, In God's Country Don McBrearty, October 1970 Sturla Gunnarsson, Above and Beyond A clip from each director's nominated film will be shown, then Michael Kennedy will guide a discussion with each director to illuminate the challenge in directing the scene, its importance to the film and their directing philosophy.
