Canada is home to some of the most acclaimed TV talent in the world. On Sunday, Oct. 28, a superb cross-section of internationally recognized TV actors, including Rick Mercer, Brent Butt, Tara Spencer-Nairn, Kristin Kreuk and Kathleen Robertson, will come home and gather at the Conexus Arts Centre in Regina, Sask. to celebrate the accomplishments of the past year, at the 22nd Annual Gemini Awards. The confirmed list of presenters already features: Sarah Chalke, Carlo Rota, David James Elliott, Jason Priestley, Trish Stratus, Paul Gross, Corey Haim, Andrea Roth and Saskatchewan Roughrider Matt Dominguez.Additional presenters and special guests will continue to be announced in the coming weeks as the countdown to the Gemini Awards continues. Sunday, Oct. 28 – The 22nd Annual Gemini Awards will broadcast live on CBC-TV at 8 p.m. George Stroumboulopoulos will be the evening’s host. This year’s awards show will be the first open to the public and feature television fans in the Conexus Arts Centre. Global Television will kick off the evening with a red carpet pre-show in a special broadcast of ET Canada at The Gemini Awards, starting at 7:30 p.m. Vote now for the CBC Viewers Choice Award at www.cbc.ca/geminiawards - this category winner is determined entirely by the public via online voting. |
