Momentum and excitement are building towards the 22nd Annual Gemini Awards broadcast on October 28 with the announcement of the Gemini Lifestyle, Children’s and Youth winners tonight at the Liberty Grand Entertainment Complex in Toronto.  The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television announced awards in a total of 19 categories.  John Kastner, winner of the 2007 Academy Achievement Award (announced earlier in October) also received his award as part of the evening’s celebrations.  This week’s award shows will conclude with the Drama, Variety and Comedy Gala on Wednesday, October 17.  The 22nd annual Gemini Awards will culminate with the Gala Awards October 28th in Regina, Saskatchewan.
