IATSE Reaches Agreement with Trade Show Group in Columbus PDF Print E-mail
Wednesday, 02 May 2007

The IATSE has reached an agreement with the employees of Associations, Conventions Trade Show Inc., of Columbus, OH, to represent them as their bargaining agent. The IA won the election, which was held April 18, by a vote of 24-10, with no challenged votes. The vote was certified this week.

Upon execution of a collective bargaining agreement, the dozen employees who are not currently members will be offered membership in Local 12, whose jurisdiction covers the Ohio cities of Columbus, Newark, Marysville, and Delaware.

The election was the result of efforts to educate the company’s employees about the benefits of working under a collective bargaining agreement, and included worksite visits, an open house at Local 12, which is based in Columbus, mailings and phone calls from members of the Local 12 Executive Board and International Representative Mark Kiracofe.
