The Strategic Partners international co-production market, celebrating its 10th anniversary this September 14-16, 2007 with focus countries France, UK, US and Canada, today opened its Call for Applications.

The market, which receives hundreds of applications worldwide, facilitates business meetings and networking amongst pre-selected film and television producers and financers.

“Two years ago at SP I met Marco Mehlitz (The Devil’s Rejects, The Final Cut). Now we’re in pre-production on Surveillance, a German Canadian co-pro with Marco’s company, Lago Films of Berlin with David Lynch as our Exec Producer,” said Stephen Onda of Stephen Onda Productions (Conquest, Painted Angels). “SP goes beyond the quick introduction and handshake, to meaningful consultation and building relationships.  Real work is accomplished in the relaxed East Coast atmosphere.  SP delivers.”

Applications for last year’s event increased by over 30% and organizers are expecting even more growth this year.
