Marvel Studios to film The Incredible Hulk in Toronto

Toronto has been selected as the principal filming location for the upcoming Marvel Studios production of The Incredible Hulk. Free Screening Nights Program Renewed

The Nova Scotia Film Development Corporation and Empire Theatres are continuing their commitment to promote local work with the renewal of their free Screening Nights partnership for 2007.
Screening Nights, held three times a year, allow local audiences to see homegrown film productions and enable local film makers to promote their work.

ACTRA And Producers Reach New Agreement

Following several days of negotiations the Canadian Film and Television Production Association (CFTPA), Association des producteurs de films et de télévision du Québec (APFTQ) and ACTRA (Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists) today announced that they have reached a renewed Independent Production Agreement (IPA).

Glickman Appoints Goeckner MPAA Executive Vice President And General Councel

The Motion Picture Association of America, Inc. (MPAA) announced today that Gregory P. Goeckner has been appointed Executive Vice President and General Counsel for the trade association. Goeckner, who joined the MPAA in 1994, was named acting General Counsel in August of 2006 and has been managing the association’s legal department since that time.
